I would appreciate more pics of this Charlotte.This is really the most beautiful eastern I've ever seen. Kinda look like a skink model to me ^^ Yeah you can only wonder what horrible fate Bear Grylls would grant her .

How do you see that? What features do you look for?

Generally, males will have a proportionally larger head (boof headed), a slimmer body, and hemipenal bulges at the base of the tail.

Ah the one I rehomed was just like that. I could not help but notice his head was larger than his mate. He had quite visible bump at the base of his tail. He had such a good temperament. I will miss him.

Yeah just looks very solid at base of head,some males hide it well with easterns,younger ones especially but yeah,thats got quite a noggin on it especially compared to thickness of neck,females look fatter necked in comparison to base of head as they are more pin headed if that makes sense

Again sometimes the differences arent so pronounced,other times its very obvious

I will have to introduce you my skink Bestiole. He/she is really nice looking but what is that kind of dark eastern. It really stike me.

This Eastern reminds me of those heterozygous hypermelanistic Easterns.. with the overall black tone to the body. I love Tiliqua with a lot of black on them (reason why I'm fond of the Halmahera locale Indonesians so much).. super beautiful.

Any idea on what locale of Eastern this is?

Its a dark pic,but id hazard to guess a nsw eastern ,looks similar to what you would find around the sydney area

Not sure what het hypermels you have seen dakota ,looks like a typical normal

At best it looks like a normal looking het,thats a normal bush variety that carries the hypermel gene but otherwise appears like uour average run of the mill eastern

Theres another type thats a very dark form but still shows a bit of patterning then the super form which is your really black ones

I know it is a normal, silly willy. Just with the darker look to it, remind me of those heterozygous hypermelanistics.

Charlotte... or more likely Charlie ( Thanks Richard lol ) had just come out of a shed when I took the above pic, and it was taken under low light.

The below pics were taken a few months ago when she was a little smaller but under better light.

She had just come out of an attempted brumation so is looking a little svelte in these photos.
