take 2 on building outdoor cage

Made a stsrt on an outdoor cage today,making use of a bit of space behind shed and using leftovers to build it,havnt decided what to put in there yet,possibly blotchies but keeping options open there

Stupid neighbours have a water tank there and have put tin accross fence on there side so grows between fence and tin,they even complained to council that our grass is higher than fence level ,we had to show council why,lol

I just hit it with whipper snipper,bout all i can do,perhaps poison it,not much stops that grass from growing though

Going to be a low cage with screen lid so i can access that grass,sux not living on 2 . 5 acres now,lol

Wire floor down,only doing so because tin doesnt go far into ground,will cover in dirt

Back wall is so square ive had to cut sections out to fill gaps,lol

A quick coat over the metal with a some cheap green acrylic paint wouldn't hurt either. ;-)

I think you touched on one of the most important points soil contact.

Probablu a good idea but it will be covered and probably pull apart and make something more sturdy in a year or 2

Might experiment with stumpies in this one,still not decided

Haha,was out on wednesday,was 30 degrees,felt like 60 so tried hiding from sun,lately its been more cloudy than sunny,18 and rains set in here right now,a nice day or 2 then a week or so of pox weather,thats melb for you,makes brissie seem like darwin ,lol

I intend to pave floor,have a heap of pavers down at folks but will take a few trips to retreive enough,so just wiring for now,have a heap of corrugated iron sheets there to

Not quite done but chucked a few outside to see what they thought,the land mullets heat up quick in the sun so working on some good shelters to escape heat as well

Should have made something earlier,land mullets in particular are loving it,i could sit here watching all week,need to find a heap of hollow logs ect ,and a few more plants
