After being away on vacation for 16 days, I finally got a chance to see the pair of Easterns I bought from a European breeder. My daughter had been caring for them since they were delivered a day after I left. They are nice but could use a little weight. Sorry for the poor picture quality. They are being housed in quarantine cages till I can make sure they are free of mites.

They are alert though don't seem to have much appetite yet despite not being fed in over 2 weeks prior to Sunday. The thinner one nibbled at dog food and veggies and ate a couple super worms. The slightly fatter one has ignored almost everything I offered. I'll have to contact the seller to ask what the diets were.

Mine have been eating sparingly the last few weeks. That has been normal at this time of year for mine. They seem to know when they need to eat and how much. A long as they look healthy, I don't worry about it too much.

At the ends of the season they tend to only want meat. They will take raw meat, cooked meat, egg, snails etc but a lot fussier than blotchies in the Autumn and Spring periods.
If you wait, all that happens is that you get older. M. Andretti
