Yellow's photogallery :D

Postby Mimo » Sat Sep 28, 2013 8:14 am

The moment we both waited for so long was finally there!!
Today we bought our first blue tongue skink :D

We named him/her yellow, it sounded unisex and we thought it would be funny because it's a BLUE tongue.
Yeahh.. we have a weird sence of humor.

Today we introduced yellow to his/hers new home, and he was really exploring immediately.
So we are already really pleased with our new reptile :D (so thanks jos! ;))

Anyway now time for some photo's:

TY ^^ And didn't make one yet, will post one soon but the terrarium is a bit big so it's difficult to get it on camera without getting some stuff in the picture haha
en the top ledge is a bit high but he can't get there yet untill he's bigger. The big ledge where he is on in the picture is fine, kinda seemed easy for him.

And underneath the big platform there hides a big waterbowl, so for you guys to see i also made a picture from the side:

Yesterday i also quickly filmed our Yellow
my mom's dog was really interested in what we where watching so that the fury thing you see in the beginning..
(yellow didn't seem scared of him so i let him watch, but anyway the dog is the size of a guinea pig so :P)
Anyway now the video!:

I think you put most of us to shame! I would love to make an enclosure like this for my non-breeders. (Maxx and London)

You think you will get another Blue-Tongued Skink?

Awww, so cute! I was hoping to get a baby Meruke this year and it looks like it isn't going to happen. I'm now super jealous looking at your picture of Yellow.

Ahh to bad but glad you like my skink ^^

The cage is 160x60x50 cm (width x depth x height) though the dept is a bit smaller because of the thickness of the background.

but you guys don't measure in centimeters so i calculated it through internet in inches (i hope it is correct, if not blame the internet!) ;)
63 inch x 23,6 inch x 19,7 inch

thanks ^^

More footage!:

Loved the wrinkles in his tongue in this shot so i had to post it:
Image

and also a short footage of yellow climbing in his enclosure
(a little screenshot of it and the movie link below):
Image

And though i made an easy stair for him to walk over to the top, he seems to prefer the hard way to climb :p
