I need some help deciding on this light

Postby bluet0nguel0ver » Sat Sep 14, 2013 3:27 pm

so I have been going around my country trying to find the best uva/uvb lights for my tank but I am stuck.
the two I am looking at are
arcadia d3 reptile lamp 6%uvb 15watts
and
reptiglo 10.0 uvb 33%uva 10% uvb
but also there is this
" compact uv sun 11 watts" I am a bit confused to this as its $98.00 and the two lights above are only $64.00 why is the uv sun so much more expensive?
right now I am thinking about getting the reptiglo because of the wattage
what should I do?!?1

i dont use any uv light on my guys, they may be beneficial, but dietry intake of vitamins and minerals is of way more benefit, skimp on that even with uv lights and your lizards are still just as prone to mbd

plus the prices they charge are ridiculous,if u want to use uv thats still fine,as there are some other benefits with light wavelengths ect for some reptile species,a cheaper alternative if available are nec t 10 blacklights, they have been proven to be as good as alot of the reptile branded ones, actually better than quite a few and with an extremely lower price tag just because theres no reptile on the box

i have a stack of 2 and 4 footers in my shed ive never actually used gathering dust, lol
used to use them for agamids and stocked up before stopping breeding bearded dragons

from memory under 20 dollars a pop,i have an article of a test done comparing them to other reptile branded flouro tubes and they are proven performers

if u have specialist lighting stores in nz,they should stock them or be able to order them
