stumpy curse continues

watchinh my stumpies today,the oldline male has been folling small female around,checking her vent area and back of neck area then along comes the other old male in shed mode thinking they look great to help rid his skin,lol,mind u equally hes trying out the big northern male and the little cunninghams skink

i swear they hate doing stuff when you watch,having a male shed on them doesnt seem to get there romantic juices flowing either

oddly both males will have shed before mating attempts this year if 2nd male shows signs after shedding of course,perhaps they both shed close to brumation time last season

Many of mine are desperately needing to shed, I can't wait! Your poor girls and even your cunninghams do put up with a lot from your male shingles, using them as a way to shed probably was not pressing the right buttons for mating though

both males have now shed so hopefully theres not so much interference,from memory this is first time they have shed so early,normally shed a fair while after mating season,though i cooled them earlier this season and woke them earlier to and its been a while since ive bred them and my note taking skills are lacking

the striped back lass on left is from the last litter i produced,still small for her age

hopefully i can catch them in the act,but i seem to not have much luck there,spent hours last season watching for 2 matings and lots of just grabbing,it was this time they started last season ,all ive seen so far are sperm plugs and a maybe just missed copulation

the other ones were on a slower warm up schedule,so only just starting to see males check out the big female,thats her at back of pic,she had a short interupted brumation so not sure anything will happen there

She's enormous, it would take a gutsy male to have his way with a girl like that. Is that a young male facing the camera? He looks a bit cheeky, like he's up to something

im not sure of his age,he looks older than the big pr,a different locale,small like my old line,last 2 pics werent long after most of them got up to bask,he had already been up a while,so warmed up

the bigger male is same length as female,just not as solid,except his head which is alot solider
