Number one reason why I don't is that people prefer different traits. Some like the IJ/Eastern looking traits, and others (like me) prefer the Merauke.. and mixing them together just creates the "in between", and not giving you anything to choose from. It can happen in the wild, but let the wild consider what breeds, not humans. Stick to the species.

It doesn't create a super morph, and you will likely have a hard time selling these skinks. I don't see any reason why.. buuuuut if you do, please label them as so.. "Merauke x IJ".

Some signs are gain of weight after the copulation occured, belly bugles out on the sides, labored breathing toward the end, sqirming, and being over sleepy toward the end. Some shows better than others.

Yeah, cross breeding is generally frowned upon because skinks can eventually be advertised as full IJ or Merauke, and if they are bred, the gene pool of that species has been messed up.

You have no idea how angry that statement makes me. There is no such thing as an IJ/eastern trait. Only a completely inexperienced person would confuse the two. IJ's and easterns are MUCH less similar than IJ's and Meraukes. These are the kind of statements that lead to confusion and misunderstanding.
