No, I didn't get any new skinks. I wish!
But I got the next best thing: 2 new tanks!

The lovely stepping-stool is there because I'm the size of your average Smurf and need it to reach (or see into!) the two top tanks.

Rosy was out at a dinner-date and my battery died before she got back, so her picture will have to wait.

Those enclosures look amazing. I desperately wish that I had matching caging for all my skinks.

I believe they are show case cages. Very similar to the visions that lll sells but much more visually appealing in my opinion

I thought the same thing while browsing that website. I would love to do one of the walls in my livingroom in cages like that. Unfortunately that would be terribly expensive

Anything made for a reptile is super expensive, to be honest. It is super sad.

Actually come to think of it, keeping your skinks in very expensive caging would probably deter you from holding too many back. That Susann is a very smart woman. I may have to try that next year to help prevent me from keeping them all

If you were skilled with tools you could make yourself something like that for under half that price.........

I am about as far from skilled with tools as possible.

I made two 5 x 2 x 1.5 cages under $50.. turned out to be too big for the move.

I am just going to stick with the water-troughs for outside use, and 55 gallons for brumation use inside, though these are super pretty.

Those cages look nice! But they look expensive.

My husband was just saying that every time we buy more, it's a rather painful experience because of the $$$, and we end up asking ourselves why we didn't go with something less expensive to begin with. But then they get here (within DAYS of ordering!), and just while in the process of setting them up, we are reminded exactly why we love them!
They are so light-weight that even I can lift one up (yes, ME, the Smurf!), they are
so well thought out, so well built, a dream to stack, lots of options on lighting and heating, and they are virtually indestructible. Even with all the water that the automatic mister sprays in there 8 times a day; no worries.
Valley does have a good point though. These suckers take up space, but they gouge your savings, and that works well in deterring new animal purchases, or decisions on keeping offspring. Pros and cons.

Hey, how's the temperature situation in those middle tanks, now that there's been time for it to stabilize?
