BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

New to bts's and this site heres my new Halmahera Indonesian bts. He is about 11 inches long, he is about 2.5 months old and I freaking love him. He eats very good and loves to hang out. I can't wait till he is a 20 inch beast.



And heres him eating. (Wet chicken dog food, Mushrooms, green beans, carrots, romaine lettuce, sweet bell pepper, apple, freeze dried crickets and meal worms, peas, raw egg and corn with a little calcium powder processed and chopped together) he finished 75% of that bowel in 20 minutes. His previous owner said he wouldn't touch dog food and would only eat live food roaches crickets and meal worms. Guess I proved him wrong lol

dont be shy in feeding him/her up a bit,looks skinny in hip area,sounds like previous owner didnt have much of a clue,looks like its eating dogfood quite well now,best thing to do is keep it hydrated,plenty of fresh water and feed it ip abit to allow it to fill out some

often just going to a new home does them wonders,which to me looks like hes doing great with you so far

WELCOME!!! LOVELY baby, they grow so fast. Mine is 6 mnths and 20.5 inches.

6 months and 20.5 inches! My indo is about 19 inches, and he's around 18 months old!

Thanks guys for all the compliments. He is my little dog with scales. Hes so friendly its unbelievable, always chilling on my neck or on top of me in bed. I wish I would've got one earlier. He is the coolest reptile I've ever owned! I love spoiling him and preparing his food. I live in sunny San Diego so he's rarely in his tank. always exploring around the house and the park. I've only had him like 4 days but I am definitely in the process of fattening him up because like u noticed his hips are a little skinny. I love the reactions people give when they see him. I always tell them if u think hes cool now wait till he's almost 2 feet long lol

Also random question how do u put up a profile pic?

I'm afraid you have been infected; caught the bug. He'll be big before you know it, so just treasure the early days when he's small ...while they last.

He will be a gorgeous adult, cause he sure is an awesome looking little dude.

At the top of the page is USER CONTROL PANEL, click that. Then on the left is a box where you can manage certain things and settings. I think if you go in to PROFILE it should give you the option of uploading a picture for your avatar. The hardest thing really is to find a picture you can shrink down to the dinky size you're allowed to have. The max size is 140 pixels wide, and 180 pixels high.

Aww thank u for ur kind words! I've definitely been infected lol and thanks for answering my photo question. I was able to find it but like u said I'm going to have to take some time finding a small enough photo...

And if you have photoshop you can make it smaller.
If you dont have that programm you can probably use even paint for it or GIMP i believe.
GIMP is a free programm..

If you dont feel like it or any other reason..you can also send the picture to me and i will do it for you
