So after many hours of grueling research, we have "adopted" our first baby BTS! He/she is a 3 month old Halmahera and can I just say we are proud parents! Skink who has yet to be named appears extremely healthy and knows no fear. I hated the small container it was in from the Reptile Expo so I opened it and immediately had a BTS climbing up my shirt onto my shoulder and that is where it remained for the rest of the ride home. Skink is settling nicely into the new home and ate some snails and ignored papaya last night, we plan to explore a variety of deliciousness after a trip to Whole Foods. I'm giving some decompress time but will post picture of the markings/coloring soon. He put a cork board in the enclosure and soon had a BTS on top of it, do they make rappelling gear for skinks?

Thanks for the warm welcome! "Skink" is settling into his new digs and loving the attention. We are still working to figure out everything he likes but we know he LOVES snails and hates papaya! Food prep is my favorite activity and I have a smorgasbord of new eats for him to try from the food list. This website has been a lifesaver!
