Hello from Eureka California
Hi, Im a new bts owner and just wanted to introduce myself and my skink. My skinks name is Stinky (just rhymed with skinky lol). Im not sure how old he is or whether he is an irian jaya or eastern (some input would be appreciated). Stinky definitely has some personality....he hates veggies and will not eat them, he will eat hoppers and ground beef with egg...but only if i literally hand feed him. For lighting he has a 100w powersun mvb and at night he has a 75w infrared heat bulb. His basking temp is 100f and on the cool side its 80f. night time temps drop by about 15 degrees. I bought stinky from Fin and Feather here in Eureka for 180$. All in all he is a great guy and im happy to have him.

He looks about the size of Hunter, which is 21", so I would presume 8-10 months..? It really varies, though.. I have 3 skinks that are about the same age.. maybe a couple weeks apart. One is 17", one is 18", and one is 21".. doesn't look full grown, though.

hi,and welcome, its so difficult telling age by these guys...i got one in feb i was told she was 2 months, i asked a friend who has a 6skink colony she said eh...more like 6..and the one i just got a couple weeks ago i was told he's 3 but then she said no wait..2.5...no wait..i'm not sure lol...so i have no clue on either..but my feb girl has grown 6 inches since i brought her home..and the new guy almost 1/4 inch in a couple weeks..
