Hi everyone,
I am on holiday at the moment and have left Smudge with my housekeeper. I have left my housekeeper with a laminated list of instructions  but I am still very worried, what if she doesn't give him water? What happens if I left the thermostat too high? WHAT HAPPENS IF SHE LEAVES THE VIVARIUM OPEN?!

what if a tidal wave washes your house away?

that's a lot of what ifs, try not too worry to much,if you aren't away to long, a week or 2 then lack of water shouldn't be an issue, also its almost the middle of winter here,so I doubt a heat wave will heat your area up enough to affect your eastern

if the cage is left open, theres every chance they will get out

main thing is try not to stress, reptiles are fine when you go away,a simple big feed and good watering before you go away is usually ample to see them through till you return

with thermostats you are best to set them to shut off at a set ambient temp, rather than a hot temp,as a fail safe to prevent cage over heating, not set them to get cage to a certain hot temp, and by using a thermometer,u check temps all over your enclosure to adjust thermostat to suit, going off the temp dial on thermostats is rather risky as generally they are way off what that temp reading says
