Finally catching up around here and snapped some pics. Upgraded the babies to full size cages, spent a little extra time playing with my favorites... Getting really attached to most of the group, interested to see what the next few months bring in terms of pairing up etc. The thread earlier on about ions etc was an interesting one, along with the speculations on seasons, I'm gonna try dryin em out a bit longer since they're all on aspen, and then in a couple more weeks switch them all over to fresh moist cypress and spray em heavily every day.

I'd like to note I started adding beef to the diet. I needed something with more calories in it, they gained a lot of weight but they weren't getting as chunky as I wanted so it was time to increase the calories a bit. I currently get 2.5 lbs of turkey and 1 lb of beef in addition to all the veggies and eggs that make up the once a week mix, and all the skinks also get fuzzies, roaches, superworms, and mealworms weekly as well. 40 snakes is a piece of cake to maintain, but 40 skinks - whew!

And spent the majority of her time trying to eat my fingers (which also happens without the nail polish, for the record)

Lol, nope, not anywhere close. At this point I've established a handful of skinks that cohabitate without fighting immediately, and a smaller handful that want to kill each other, but not necessarily all other skinks.

And one nasty indo that fights with everything.

Are u going to try breeding on a southern hemisphere schedule?

A few weeks time should see my northerns start there dry season mating

There all looking good jen,best way of behaviour sexing is seeing what happens after cycling,you really need to see copulations,as some females can be more aggressive than males and both sexes can get narky at any old skink or get along fine giving false results

Fingers crossed your pythons are carrying,the bredli looks very solid,hard to tell with bloods as they are solid buggers anyways
