Litchie climbing his new mountain. It is handmade, but not by me. the grip is secure as there is plenty of sand under the coating, making it easy for his nails to grasp it. i was afraid it was a bit too big at first, but it seems to work nicely. he has had it for quite some time already, i just havent caught him actually using it (other than for shedding).

Nae, i think you need to tell Zeke not to have bad influence on my skink. Apparently, Litchie mustve seen the computer screen for a few seconds, and then this happened.

Wow that is a stunning Northern. I love the rock to. I have wanted to add something instead of cork to my enclosures to help with nail wear.

thanks, i hope he keeps being this well coloured (though the camera doesnt give entirely correct colours in bad light, sorry). i also hope i find female northerns with an interesting look to match him with.

i have always had cork, the substrate and a guinea pig house for litchie before, this is a new test that i think will be good for keeping his back healthy as well as pose some new challenge for many months to come.

the base is what the others also use (that i cant remember), and then regular acrylics and sand on that in two layers, and then more sand, a toxic free coating on top - wipe of any sand that didnt stick, and youre done. it should be fairly cheap to make if youd like to try. Nae had a nice tutorial with salt dough, i think.

Too bad we couldn't get Ember and Litchie together, wow how stunning those babies would be Very cute picture. Thor is always doing crazy stuff like this too. He has the only locked cage of the bunch, he is always climbing as high as he can get, lol.

id need to pay for 4 airplane trips plus safety freight for a skink. as much as i love the idea of genetically healthy and amazingly orange baby skinks, i think it would be better to wait until traveling with reptiles is made simpler. ill remember the offer though
