Jade enjoying the sunshine

Jade has been outside nearly every day thanks to some beautiful sunny weather, with today being lovely and warm. She's too little to stay out for the winter months, but she certainly seems to enjoy climbing through the pots, but not without a very wary eye on her surroundings.
Enjoy the pictures! I know I took a lot, but I always get carried away. Thankfully she's a very pretty subject.

Thank you, everyone! I just looked through and saw how all the pictures are a little samey
I just got carried away!
She is very sweet, but so wary and those eyes seem to almost pop out of her head with the sun shining on them. I've been trying to catch her flicking her tongue, as it's also deformed and flicks solely to the right with a curly twist. Once she's a bit more trusting, I'll examine her mouth properly, but I think she'd die of fright if I tried now. That will be another round of pictures!

She is a really nice little Eastern with quite amazing eyes. The deformed tongue only flicking to the right sounds like the blotchy with the mouth problem around our place.

Do you know what the problem is with that one, norm? With jade, it looks almost like the tongue is divided somehow, but she flicks so fast, it's difficult to tell. She's moved on a lot from where she was, trust wise, so I'll be able to have a look in a while. She has a few lumps and bumps still, but even those have lessened since birth as she gained strength, but I don't think an entire tongue repair is on the cards

I suspect she may have been born with the deformity. She was part of a litter born in our backyard on March 19, 2010.

Oh, I remember you posting these now! You can see where she gets food all over her face from the result of the injury. I'm not sure, but I don't think the structure of Jade's mouth has been affected at all, just the tongue, unlike your wild blotchy girl. I wonder how she's doing. Please let us know if you see her again, although winter is setting in, so I guess we will be waiting a while for an update.
