BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

On average how many sheds will baby skinks have by 1 month? So far mine had there initial shed at day 1-2, then they all shed again at 10-12 days.

I don't even count that thing in the first day or two. It's not really "skin" that comes off, more of a birth coating or something. Northerns always have their first real shed at 10-12 days. I have seen it in my own babies, and also been told that by Ray who has produced thousands. They will most likely only have one more shed at the most in the first month.

After that it will depend on how fast they grow. In general, higher protein diets will encourage faster growth, shedding can be as frequent as once a month for the first few months. After that it should reduce.
