BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

I can't believe I missed this for almost a week. I was feeding them all this morning and noticed that little Abe (may need to change that to Abbey,lol) has a bow-tie on his head. It is higher up than I have seen them, usually they are down by the tip of the nose (I think). Any idea how rare these are?

Cool, I hadn't seen that before! Oh boy, choosing a hold back is getting tougher every day!

I wanted to ask if anyone knew if this head pattern was inheritable, as in if I bred this skink would it be likely to produce babies with this trait, or is this just a fluke of nature?

My oldest Northern, Belle, has a bowtie also.

Oh please post a picture, I would love to see it! Have you ever bred her and if so did any of the babies get the bow-tie?

Did not breed her so don't know about that. She is older now (13) so won't breed her in the future, either. Posted a pic on facebook with my Iphone. I can take a better picture later with my Nikon.
