He is on the thin side and you are going to want to fatten him up a bit but he isn't horribly thin. He is rather young to sex and I'm definitely not the person to do it but someone else may be able to say more.

He's very skinny - have you had him checked by a vet? He is Indonesian so very likely wild caught and likely has parasites - you'll want to get a fecal sample checked to see if he has parasites. And otherwise, offer lots of food with more protein than greens / veggies. He's too young and skinny to sex, but get him checked by a vet and get the temperatures sorted out and in a few months after he's gained weight and grown maybe we'll be able to sex. Good luck!

Well my friends blue younger had babies and this was its baby so is it still possible to have parasites?

Captive born (bred in the wild) and/or bred BTS (Gigas in particular) all have a likely chance of parasites/mites.

I am guessing she got the skink being a preggo?

he is very young, so he will only eat a little at a time, but you will want to feed him nutricious meals whenever you get the chance. every mouthfull of food counts, just leave him with the food
and fresh water too of course.

i hope all goes well. i suggest not handling to reduce stress, he is not in condition for exploring the world until hes a bit more energetic and got some weight on him.

I would get a fecal sample checked right away. You can even send a baggie of poop in the mail to ReptileKing on this site and he can look at it for you for free.

What have the babies been eating? His tail area and back legs are very thin, I'd start feeding him canned dog food with calcium plus D3 sprinkled on it - offer him a couple teaspoons daily and let him eat what he wants. I'd really recommend a vet visit just to be sure he is healthy. He's very skinny and looks really young. Don't bother feeding banana or fruit, he is very young and needs protein.

Why did you get a new pet if you weren't prepared to get it vet care? A vet check should be expected with a new addition.

Weird, I was going to reply to this but sat down for dinner and now Katrina has almost written my post almost verbatim.
Dogfood + calcium/D3, clean water, 95+ hotspot and a secure hide will fix him up very quickly. They eat ENORMOUS amounts of food daily and grow rapidly when they are that young. They will easily eat the equivalent of twice their head size daily.
Immediate and proper care is what you should focus on. There is nothing a vet can do or say if you aren't providing proper care and diet.

I don't know what weight gain you think will be achieved in a weeks time by a slice of banana. Plenty of good dietary suggestions have already been made but it should be emphasised that what this young skink needs urgently is protein, not sugary carbs.

Those pics look to have been taken inside a vehicle. Can you outline how this BTS is being kept; i.e. enclosure size, heat lamps and measured temperatures at both ends. If it is not being allowed to reach preferred body temperature it will not eat because it can't digest and it does look to be significantly underweight by the prominent spine and rib cage.

My Alpine blotchies consume about 1/4 to 1/3 of their body weight in dog food in a sitting and do this daily when little. This is on the extreme end of the spectrum but he should be eating a lot more as per comments already made. if it wont take to DF the try some cooked egg (no fat or other additives) mashed up. You should find that once the bluey is eating more regularly and higher protein food that the intake demand will increase.

I've tried deli meats canned dog and cat food and eggs and I can't get him to eat anything. Like I said the only thing he eats regularly is banana if I could make him eat other things I would. I have him in a 50 gallon tank with a hot and cold side. With hides and aspen shaved bedding with a shallow water and food bowl.

Agree with everything posted above. Try some live food to get him started as I find it generally stimulates the feeding response in fussy eaters - silkworms are esp good for under nourished skinks if you can find them.

If he isn't eating and he's that skinny, get him to a vet (assuming your temps are correct - do you know them?). Deli meat is unhealthy, way too much sodium and preservatives. Don't feed that.
