Dil at nine months (kinda pic heavy)

Postby Cvalda » Wed Apr 10, 2013 7:06 pm

Hi everyone! I came home from work tonight to find my bluey Dil had had himself a shed, and was looking nice and colorful, so I decided to dig the camera out and snap a few portraits :P He turned nine months old last week, and he's almost 17 inches long now -- it feels like yesterday that I first brought him home as a five inch long baby. They grow up so fast :D

Beautiful!! Where did you get him from?

Edit:
Never mind, you have him listed as Northern x IJ in your profile... wasn't sure if you thought he was a Northern which is why I asked. Gorgeous colors, he's very striking!

Thanks everyone! I adore him -- has tons of personality, eats well and is just a lovely lizard all around.

Am I correct in my assumption that he's a male, btw? Is he old enough now for someone to take a stab at sexing him from the photos? :D

Really? Hmmm, good thing I picked a gender neutral name (not that Dil cares) :ohyes:

He was advertised as being purebred Northern, and I was kinda miffed he's a hybrid at first, but I love him all the same and wouldn't change a thing. I think his odd patterning, with the orange sherbet color in the middle of his white stripes, is very neat :D

Did you see the parents or are you just assuming by color that he is a hybid?

It's been a while, but at least one of his parents was definitely Northern from memory. It was some members on here who pegged him as a Northern x IJ hybrid, though, just from looking at him.
