BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

So confused.
What bedding should I use for Noam
1.i had him on aspen he was fine until January but then stopped pooping cause I thought it was impact ion.
2. I decided to put him on repticarpet but he decided he wanted to burrow, but his bowel movements became regular.
3. I traded him tonight on aspen chips, because I thought he would want to burry, but he just kept on licking and getting it in this mouth, not much but if I left him for a couple of days I could have serious impact ion, so after 10 minutes, I took him out, and put paper towel down, and am putting the carpet back in tomorrow, have any ideas on what he could hide in our opinions on bedding choices,

Ps, what is the largest Bts on record in length and weight, or that you guys own or have seen

1) You would know if it was impaction and he had passed it, since it would likely be a huge poop with tons of aspen in it.
2) This is probably a coincidence. Impaction risk is very low with aspen if you are providing enough water. They are also usually smart enough to spit out all but a tiny bit while eating that will not harm him.
3) Try a different shape/type of aspen if this kind is making you nervous. There are chips, shredded and shaved. I have NEVER had an issue with my blueys eating too much to hurt them (not that they eat it at all lol). They also, like I mentioned, will spit it out if you give them a chance, if they are a normal bluey. I have 5 on aspen with no issues. I have experimented with several different substrates and I like aspen the best.

I had mine on aspen but she needed more humidity so I changed to this. You don't have to spray it and keep it wet if you don't want to. I haven't seem Azareth eat any.

I have mine on eco earth right now and I hate it. It's really dusty when it dries out from the heat lamp and I end up having to mist it too much to keep it moist. If I let it dry it gets into his eyes, ears, mouth and nose when he burrows. I'll prob get some shaved aspen tomorrow and switch over
