and now a couple months later:
I'm just calling her a "her" because it's what I wanted, I know it's hard to sex skinks and I saw some advice to just pick a gender unless you wanted to breed them. I might ask for advice sexing when she's got a bit bigger though.
Her name is "gecko" and the warm side of her enclosure is tile on paper towel. What isn't pictured is the other half, which is comprised of a giant box filled with Care fresh bedding for burrowing. (I saw another member do something similar and thought I'd try it out.
She has a 60w Heat bulb, and a UVB light, as well as getting Repti cal in her diet. She did end up slowing down for the winter (I was afraid she would, being my first skink) so I was wondering if she looks too skinny? Since she "woke up" a week or two ago, she's been pounding anything I put in the cage.
