Postby Rossi0486 » Sat Feb 23, 2013 1:30 pm

Hello everyone. I was wondering if i could get some help identifying what type of BTS this is? I'm thinking an indonesian but i'm not sure as I am rather new to the bts world. I got him about a week ago.

It would help more if there was a full body picture, but based off what I can see, I'd say Indonesian. Cute little guy :D

I agree with the general consensus, that's an Indo. A very pretty, speckly, shiny Indo <3 Very handsome skink!

Richard, the speckling part for the legs usually refers to the top of the front legs. Indos usually have very black tops, but the sides/underneath can be speckled. Meraukes on the other hand have speckles on the top. At least that's how I look at it (I think? I usually go by overall look, so have to actually think when I break it down, and I'm bad at thinking).

The other signs that it's an Indo are the heavily marked head (lots of black 'spider-webbing' patterns), the excessive amount of mottling (speckles all over the back and tail), the yellow colouring (though not all Indos are yellow), and as Richard mentioned the lines back of the neck (Meraukes have a single line down the back of the neck while IJs and Indos have multiple lines).

One day I will own some speckly, speckly Indos :cloud9:
