Recently bought a bts and I'm wondering if you guys could tell me the gender/species?

i say IJ as well. it has a little eastern look going there, but easterns are rare. wait for more of the moderators and experienced keepers to log on to give you more accurate information.

If you want the gender guessed, you will need to provide a full body picture directly from above, and one from the side (taken on a flat surface so theres no angling). as there is no way of directly telling the gender of a bluey without either seeing hemiphenes/sperm plugs or by breeding, the guess will still provide some idea of what you can expect.
what is looked at on the photo is mainly the body proportions together.

I don't know - I'm not the best with Eastern vs IJ, so I'll let some of the Eastern keepers chime in... but I'm not seeing Northern or any obvious IJ.

It is definitely very gorgeous!

How peculiar,birds eye view looks ij,side on alot northern,its a nice looking specimen

I think the guru,(ml) has it spot on,looks like an ij cross northern,but if a cross could have anything in it,i dig its banded back legs,reminds me of centralians
