And I'm getting him tomorrow I'm so excited I'm jumping around and practically whooping for joy! When we went to see Smudge I was so happy and then... He pood on me, I'm not so upset or anything heis still my baby but mummy said that his nick name is crapper

I hope she forgets in the morning :p

If you are going to be handling him, you might want to get use to getting pooped on lol. If they need to go, they will go and some dont care where they are at the time

Ahh a south australian, reptile city is a good shop, breed most of the animals they sell, the owners are both great blokes to,pity more shops arent like that
Pooping can be normal, some do it when nervous, but settle quickly,or you may have just been unlucky and it needed to go
What species are u getting

Oh, dear, mums don't tend to forget that kind of thing, hopefully she'll come around though.
I used to have a shingleback called Smudge- good name! What species do you have? I've bought a skink at Reptile City, they are a good store, I think and they seem to know their stuff.

Well where are the pictures! I would love to see him!
Off-topic - Richard and Lea, if you shop at the same reptile store, have you ever met in person?

Ummm, well, I think that would be a very fortunate stroke of serendipity, but, alas, it's unlikely. Richard lives at least 750kms to my East and although it's a possibility, I have never yelled out "is there a Richard in the store?" to confirm it.
Richard, if you do happen this way, you should send me a pm though, I'm sure a rendezvous in a skink saturated shop would be a good one!

Haha you are already broken in! Every single one of my reptiles has pooped on me with the exception of all of my boas. I just got crapped on Friday by my new foster cornsnake (right after I decided to adopt him!) LOL
Normally they do it once to me and then everything is good

Nothing wrong with how your holding it either, good support along its body with 2 hands is how they feel most comfy

He's very pretty. I'm not sure if he is just finishing up a shed but he appears to have shed on his toes still, you might want to just keep an eye on that.
