Rusty got done shedding/ determine the age

So my new form merauke just started shedding today. He isn't the best at shedding so I gave him a hot bath. He has a few bits and pieces left but i'm letting him relax for tonight. He came with no birth date and if you guys have an estimate at his age please respond. He was about 11 inches the last time I measured him.

About 1 year old maybe? I think we're just passing the time when imports come in preggo, and he's probably from last years batch? I could be totally off though, so wait for intelligent people to speak up. He's definitely super cute though :)

not trying to nit pick or anything here but i saw that you said hot bath, but it really shouldn't be "hot" it should be luke warm...kind of like a baby's bottle

...and it very well could have been just want to make sure

80*F is a safe bath temperature. It should feel luke warm to your touch since our bodies run upper 90's. HOT baths could overheat them which is BAD. Cold baths could give them chills, which is also BAD. (its tough being a reptile!)

no worries it wasn't very hot, about 80ish degrees

Very cute!

Like Mel said, it's very hard to tell age - diet, genetics, species etc all play a factor. Mel's guess is about as good as I could do. Looks young but there really isn't any way to say for sure. :D
