Homemade Chicken Soup Problem! HELP

Postby Cathy20 » Sun Jan 13, 2013 8:05 pm

I just gave Wyatt a small piece of chicken from the soup my dad made with ONION today and I'm freaking out trying to get him to drink water and/or throw it up or something! He didn't have direct onion, just a piece of chicken from the soup, but I'm still insanely worried! PLEASE HELP ME!!! :help:  :urgent:

The foods that we cook for ourselves (ie- chicken soup) tend to be full of seasoning, especially salt. You should never give your bts anything with seasoning on it, its just not healthy for them.

For this reason, you shouldn't have given the bts chicken from chicken soup. However this one time, one piece won't harm him. I'm not really sure why you're so worried about the onion, the seasoning is more concerning to me than anything. In any case, its not going to hurt him this one time, but PLEASE be more aware of what you're feeding your bts.

Also, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "trying to make him throw up," but I'm very worried that whatever you're doing now is going to cause him a lot of stress and we should NEVER put our bts through unnecessary stress.
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

I concur with what Alie said. Not a big problem ONE time, but best not to make a habit of it. I'm sure your skink will be fine!
