Taking shelter from the heat- pictures.

Postby Lea » Sat Dec 15, 2012 2:28 am

Just a few pictures on a 40 degree day! The skinks spent most of the day hidden under the plants and draped over the aloe to keep cool. Some days are too hot, even for these sun-bunnies.

Great pictures Lea! Looking at your gang really helps me get through the long winter without seeing mine. It still looks funny to see an eastern mixed in with the stumpies though. I don't know if I will ever get use to seeing that.

Kiah is one in a million! He's half blind and quite disabled, with such an even temperament. I think his body hurts too much to fight. I wouldn't have any full capacity Easterns mixed in, but kiah is kind of special and he's benn with them since his early days.

Ahh the heat, I miss the warmth! If I took Juno outside here she'd turn into a popsicle :) Great pictures, I love seeing pictures of your skinkers!
