Kupo suddenly isn't eating. :(

Kupo usually eats once a week and has never had a problem getting started on his food. However, recently, he has gone two weeks without food and shows absolutely no interest in it even if its sitting right in front of him. This is the first time he has ever turned down food. Should I be worried? :/

It sounds like he's naturally slowing down for winter. Is he otherwise in good health? If so, then don't fret. If your temps are sufficient, then you can continue to offer food and always have fresh water available. He might bed down more, too. As long as he is healthy and a good weight, then you shouldn't have any problems with letting him do whatever comes naturally.

Thank you Lea! I just realized that it is my first winter with Kupo. Yes, he seems to be in good health, sheds well, has all his toes, and is still a little plump. I was afraid that he would lose weight since he stopped eating two weeks ago. How long does the winter fast go on for usually?

Depends on temps,being a northern,and if room temp drops low enough ,even with a decent basking temp they will happily brumate,usually 6 to 8 weeks,but they can still pop out here and there and eat during that time

Blue tongues can easily go two weeks without food. Much longer really. My BTS would slow down from October to February usually.
