We survived sandy!

So i live on long island in new york and the power went out on the whole island. But we just got it back a little while ago. My biggest concern was keeping Cosmo warm without heat lamps or pads or anything in the house. I had a few hand warmers but they werent keeping him anywhere near warm enough so I heated up some water and put it in a hot water bottle wrapped in a pillow case and he loved it. It was like his own water bed lol. I kept him in a 10 gallon tank because it was easier to keep warm. And I could put it on the kitchen table in the sun. He loved watching us walk around and seeing the dogs and listening to me sing to the radio. But were all fine now, just a few trees down in the yard and thankfully thats it because the south shore of the island is under water. Now with the power back on hes in his tank and happy as a clam. Heres him this morning in the little set up I made to keep him warm. I know the tank looks a bit dirty I took the hamster out and put him in, we cant use water so I cleaned the best I could and he stayed on top of the paper towel and the pillow case. Did the best we could with what we had. But heres my monster

Haha, good job, I heard it was pretty bad in NY. I'm in California, so I don't need to worry about hurricanes. I'm always scared about what I'll do with Coffee after an earthquake though. At least you guys get a warning
