Only as an occasional treat, it contains oxalates.

I think the main source of oxalic acid in pomegranates is in the leaves and stalks rather than the seeds, but being fruit should only be used sparingly for BTS. They can't be too much risk as some urologists recommend the juice for kidney stone patients. Our parrot loves them but she is primarily a fruit eater.
