How large do new merauke a grow

I have a 7 month old female new merauke Bts, she is already 23 inches long, any idea of how big she might get in inches, thanks for any gueses

Gawd knows,time will tell,thats a good size from a 7 month old already,but they do have long tails

26 inches sounds likely,but depends as it may slow right down now its at 23 inches

She will be 26 3/8" when full grown. How do you know that your 7 month old skink is female?

Thanks, I know she is female because of her eyes, her (brother) is the same age as her and has bright orange eyes a different coulor and disposition, I believe she is likely a female, she is slightly larger than him but, has deep brown eyes.

Eye color does not tell sex of bts. Nobody can tell you how long your skink will be full grown. There are average adult sizes (as Richard mentioned). That is all we can say

Lahb999, I hope you get my sarcasm. Like Brad said, it is impossible to know for sure any bts will end up. The longest skink I have ever seen was 26", and it was a merauke. That means most of that length was tail. I have seen many skinks that I would call bigger than that skink because they were much more bulky, but the 26"er is the longest one I have ever seen.

In regards to eye color, I know someone who has earnestly studied eye color using dozens of skinks, hoping that it would be a way to sex bts. The conclusion was that it is not an acurate way to determine anything, including gender.

Ive seen a 26 inch northern female in the flesh,not longtailed ,a giant,theres a chap over here with a male that was 82 cm long,nt northern as well,theres a few whoppers getting about ,but there the two confirmed longest i know of
