Neither. Males and females can both achieve the same size, around 2 feet long.

They grow their whole lives, but most growth happens in the first 2 years. After that they only grow marginally, it's not really noticeable.

Around 2 foot is there average,but some northerns keep going,over 80 cm,but most stay in 2 foot range
