Hi guys. I'm hoping that this time I got this uploading of the picture right this time. All's good here in NC, still trying to get the Monsoon mister timing right along with the heat as the weather changes.

I have to tell you guys that Ard has been a "chunky" skink since a year old! He's about 6 yrs old now and I do not feed him often. He is a super picky eater and will not eat anything for weeks. I follow the feeding list of veges, greens, proteins, and occasional egg and banana when he does eat. Any advice as to what constitutes a "weight loss diet" for Ard? He drives me crazy! Maybe I fed him too much as a baby and made him an overweight adult, lol? He measures 2 feet and when he's nice and cold I will get him to stay next to a tape measure so you can see.

though he is chunky all over,not just the body area, so maybe just a stocky skink hehe

In answer to your questions I believe he is an Indo skink and on the large size. He measures 24 inches and last time he was weighed at the vets office he was 2.24 lbs. I've found an exotic vet not too far from us which I haven't met yet. My vet back in South Florida was really good when Ard was ill so I hope this new one is as good also .

I think he's actually a Merauke, but they're very similar. He's gorgeous and looks like he's full of personality.
