When is it best to feed? I leave the house by 6 am and usually put the food in before I go. The lamps come on at 7.
I know he eats. But then by the time I get home he is hiding. Can I feed later in the day so I can see him more? I would like to handle before he eats.
Also, is it better to wait til the skink is out to pick him up or is it ok to get him out of the hide? I did it the other day, he hissed..but i just picked him up anyways.
Thanks
Feeding time of the day and hiding

Re: Feeding time of the day and hiding
Best time to feed is a couple of hours after they get up,when they have gotten to prefered body temp, though if u leave at 6 hard to do ,so ok to feed before u leave
When they are hidden, they often arent up to preffered body temp and are vunerable so usually hiss ect,or at least are mire likely to,once picked up normally settle though
