Re: shingleback wake up time
12 days since wake up,its the 21st here and room temp is 17.5 degrees celcius and 1 male stumpy is running about trying to grab females, the bigger female in particular, but keeps checking young one as well
The other males following the other big lass but sniffing vent and chin rubbing only so far, looks very promising, hopefully can vet some pics to share shortly

Re: shingleback wake up time(1st breeding attempts)
Most frustrating species to watch and try getting pics of mating goes to stumpies, lol
One males chasing and trying to secure a female as we speak, back ground temp is 14,the female puts on quite a bit of pace to elude him, then goes and rubs up against his face bringing vent past him and off they go again, then they rest and bask again, after what seems ages they repeat the process, lol
Hopefully get some pics shortly and some footage

Re: shingleback wake up time(1st breeding attempts)
I thought you were watching around the clock to catch them in the act, Richard?
I think they know when they are being watched, they keep their eyes on me when I'm in their enclosure, I'm sure they wait for my back to be turned so they can get up to mischief!

Maybe you should put a video camera in the enclosure, it sounds a very entertaining process, lol, well, maybe the first two or three times, but your female definitely sounds like a bit of a tease!

Re: shingleback wake up time(1st breeding attempts)
I think they do shy up when im watching,or females arent quite ready, thiugh makes been grabbing at her a bit and constantky with her, everytime i try to get a pic they stop and bask, lol
Could be doing the deed when im not around, usually takes a while of sitting patiently for male to pursue, every time ive seen mating in the past ive walked in when they were copulating
