I love the colours, the yellow contrasts so nicely with the red tiles, makes her look even more beautiful! No, I don't remember these, but as Richard said, with such a lovely skink, no one is going to mind a second, third or fourth eyeful of the same pictures! Thank you!

Could be a little while yet. Our temperatures are just starting to nudge towards double figures.

She is a very gentle natured girl. She always has problems with shedding particularly around the mouth but will allow us to pick her up without fuss to assist removal. We can wipe all around her mouth with a finger and all she does is close her eyes.

That's just like Kiah! He looks like he'd eat you alive with the looks he can muster up, but you can fiddle all around his mouth, helping with stuck scales or cleaning up his dinner off his chin and he just about falls asleep. Lola looks just like him with that wary and intelligent gaze, too.

Yes, pictures will be a while off, but we've had some mild days, so if the shinglebacks come out for a bask in the sunshine, I'll try and capture them on camera.

I will never cease to be amazed at what an animal will allow you to do with them when they trust you. Like yourself Lea, most of those who have come to us do so without us having any knowledge of their background and so you have to work with them to develop mutual trust. We don't know of their past experience with humans, whether it has been good, bad or indifferent so working with them has to be at their pace, but the greatest reward is when that basic bond of trust occurs.
