BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

I was wondering if anyone had though of using or used a dig box for their blueys. Theyre supposed to be for ferrets where you get a big box and fill it with shavings so they can do their burrowing. I thought of it because I had about 2 inches of shavings in Cosmo's tank so he could burrow but he started trying to bite when I put the food dish in his cage or when I dig him up to come out. All of the shavings also made spot cleaning hard. I took out some of the shavings and got him a new hidey house but I thought a big box where he can dig and play outside the cage would be fun.

ived used sugar cane mulch for that,its more like hay,though shorter bits and it holds there tunnels,like dry grass in nature,that was in the cage
