most of there time was spent telling photographer off,lol

other specimens a bluemountains form,they behaved,these guys are due to shed so will see clearer pics then

Very interesting comparison, and one that we in the US don't often have occasion to make. Both forms/localities are gorgeous. Great pictures, too! Thanks for making this informative thread, Richard. I'll be keeping a wistful eye on it!

My Blue Mountains ones seem to have a much deeper yellow colour, such as my girl in my avatar.

they start off paler,the yellow but it develops into bright yellow as they age,these pics came out paler than real life,but they arent quite as yellow as yours norm,the parents are quite yellow though,ill get some pics when they shed,might show color better,but the yellow seems to get better with age,as does the orange/pink/red blotching

heres a pic of a young adult male bluemountains form norm,the yellow shows better as they grow,all mine are from scott,which i think most originated from colin hamilton
