Feeding Question?

I understand how much to feed my baby blue tongue skink and what to feed it but when I am on Youtube there are people giving them a "paste" like food? I think it is a bunch of food mashed together? I do not understand this haha! Can someone please answer these questions please!
1) What is this?
2) Can baby Blueys eat this?
3) How do you make this?
4) Whats in it?

hard to say what it is with out seeing it,put probably a mix of meat and veg,some blueys dont like veg yet like dogfood for example,so to add more veg they stick it in a bkender and wizz it up,making a paste,or u can just chop up meg and mix it in with meat based food,good technique if u want to wean them into eating veg

Yes I've seen and read that a lot of blueys act like children when it comes to their vegetables lol so owners would just trick them by using a chopper and mashing in veggies into squash, etc. and just put some multivitamins and/or calcium powder on top and the bluey digs in like there's no tomorrow!

Once you mix dog food to finely chopped up veggies, it all tends to look like a paste, even if you have other meat in it. Maybe that's what you're seeing?

I haven't fed mine food blended in to a paste because I want them to be able to use their teeth and powerful jaw muscles as intended. This is how a standard meal is presented.

exellent point EL lobo,roughage is good for them, chopped finely enough should suffice,chewing is good for them,adding chopped to dogfiod ect should work just as fine,alit dont even need meat to eat it,wizzing to a paste us more a saving of time thing i imagine,plus often gets done in large amounts with excess frozen for future feeds,eg in ice trays so its in portions

I feed what we call "slop" ('cause those blueys go after it like pigs). It's not their exclusive diet, but does make up a good portion of it. I work for a company that's one of the top manufacturers of exotic and zoo animal diets. So, naturally, I use our food, which happens to come from the plant I work at. It's a specialized mixture of of diets, so to get the correct balance for them (it's nice to have PHD exotic animal nutritionists as coworkers). They also get finely chopped fresh food, and a couple of them will eat live prey (dubias). I have one that is very picky, and will barely touch anything other than her slop. But she's healthy, and gorgeous, and has reached adult size in an appropriate time frame, so I'm not too worried. But all of them love it, and seem to be thriving.

It is nice to be able to mix a large batch and refrigerate/freeze portions.

No snails in it but there is raw kangaroo meat.
