Do hemipenes come out when baby skinks poop? I saw something pink when my skink was going. Was it just the cloaca?

The hemipenes come out sometimes, with some skinks. In my experience it is rare, but if you saw something that looks like internal body parts, there is a good chance that it was a hemipene.

How many months old is your Bluey? At about 6-8-months my skink Sid gave me a glimpse when i took him outside to exercise. He was running around exploring when he froze suddenly O.O after closer inspection i saw that he was just "voiding his bowls" And to my surprise i saw hemipenes!! and he proved he was indeed a boy! He is 10months old now and almost every time i take him outside he dose exactly the same thing as that day.

my older gentlemen skink pops his out when pooping...his were un-questionable as to what they were! However my other skink who we strongly to believe is male due to behavior sexing, has never popped his out while pooping that i've seen. And I look, trust me (I'm not a perv i swear!)
