BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Do your skinks make weird noises when they eat? It sounds like he is cracking his tiny little bluey knuckles. I think he only does this with wet dog food, and it looks like it happens when he swallows. Is it normal?

not exactly sure the noise your hearing,but they can make some funny noises when devouring there tucker,especially when trying to woof it down to fast,so probably normal,have u only just noticed it,or is it something it does all the tme

Mine does that, sounds like somethings cracking when he swallows.. But hes always done it and never seems to have a problem eating so I assumed it was normal!

Are you sure of which end the noises are coming from. I've never heard anything let rip like my shingles, and it's usually during dinner. Get all 16 of them together and it's like a small symphony. I fed them the other day when a friend was around and he was shocked

I wouldn't worry much about odd sounds when eating. If it happens all the time then it might be something to be concerned about, but they sometimes make odd noises while eating.
