What was I thinking??

I bought some D. Roaches last night - going to raise them for Skeeter. Anyways, put the tank by Skeeter's home. By meaning next to (only place for it at the time).
Next thing I say was Skeeter running - yes running - like his life depended on it - to the other side of his tank and just glared at the roaches. He looked at me as if to say - "So...when is dinner".
Needless to say, the roaches were moved from their location.

Lot of times we forget how aware captives are of things outside the glass. Along with being what you saw, I have also observed the following.
-Defensive hissing and gaping reaction to a snake in the cage next to a baby bluetongue(a piece of paper was put in between the two)
-defensive reaction by a small gecko to attempts by a bluetongue to eat it.(two enclosures seperated by several inches of desk space)

OH MY GOODNESS! That video was awsome! hope you don't mind I put it on my facebook page "not one of God's most intelligent creature - but love them anyways"...
We have got to start a new catagory / thread - silly things your skink has done...

reminds me of one time when i had the flu and went to walk into a busy shopping complex,had a skinny tall glass window in between 2 sets of sliding glass doors,and i power walked straight into the middle skinny window almost knocking my self out,then quickly high tailed it in there to escape the embarrassment of being seen doing it,hahahaha
on coming out i noticed a big mark where my nose squished right into the glass and above that the cordroid marks of where my cap hit to
im blaming the flu for that one though,haha

Yea i don't think their natural prey comes in plastic containers.
I love how they violently murder everything before they eat it!
My beardie used to do that with plastic containers. But then he learned to grab the lip of the container and shake it until everything flies out. Then eat. Lol
