This is Skeeter - my (now confirmed) I.J. 7 years old 12 inches from nose to vent - and such a sweetie I still can't get over it!

Skeeter is very cute! I really like the second picture. The patterning on his/her back is really pretty. :D

I would personally say Ir-ee-an Jay-a, but I could be completely wrong.

Congratulations on the skink, and figuring out how to post pictures. He looks great! Irian Jaya is the current name of the western half of the New Guinea island. The eastern part is Papua New Guinea. It is pronounced: "eer-ee-ahn jah-yah".

Yes, I agree with ML and Jeff on this. As for Merauke I have heard people say Mer-auk and others say Mer-au-kee. How do you pronounce it?

different people pronounce it differently,like baja alot say bawa,most i have heard use jeffs despription but ive heard ML,s a few times to
