Scooter on Spring Break

So, School is out for a week and Scooter is home on vacation with me Scooter is doing really good and you can't even tell witch eye she had surgery on, I am so thankful I spent the money for the surgery. Thank you again for all your support during that hard time.

Awww! Beautiful! It is so nice to see success stories like this, often when people ask for advice and the answer is expensive vet bills we don't hear from them again. It is so great to see Scooter looking so healthy, gorgeous and well loved. Thanks for updating us!

Wow gorgeous!

I wonder if the gland partially regenerated or something? Seems the operation had no lasting effects-no eyedrops required after the first few weeks?

I still have to put on an 'ocular lubricant' - its just a gel that even you or I could use which I bought over the counter - once a week or whenever the eye looks like it needs it.
But yeah, other than that I got really lucky. Scooter looks normal and is not the high maintenance skink I thought this surgery would cause her to become yay!
Spring break is almost over though, so the umbrella drinks and basking will shortly be over. It's back to school on Monday.

I remember when he got his surgery there was something about substrate usage post surgery. Can you keep him on normal substrate again or will he be on papertowels for the rest of his life?

I've tried to put her in care fresh and alpine chips since the surgery, and within a few hours there was dust and particles built up on her eye. So I think Scooter is just going to have to live on towels and paper towels.
Unless you have any other suggestions?
I've considered cutting up a few towels into small squares, and throwing them in the wash to get excess dust or fabric particles off. What do you think?
