Poop
How common is it for a new skink not to poop for a while? I got my skink on 3/10, it pooped on 3/13, and it hasn't pooped since. It eats every day, and I do find urates, but no poop.

Re: Poop
Very common! I don't feed everyday, but I often get poop roughly weekly. More than a week or two would be cause for concern, or if he stops eating. But if he is eating and the temperatures are good then it will come eventually. Probably when you least expect it!

How old / big is he? Don't worry, they often don't eat daily.
And don't worry - the poop thing is a completely normal concern for a new owner. It was actually on of my first posts on this site.

Re: Poop
What are some fruits/veggies that could help? If he isn't pooping maybe he is constipated? And since babies need more protein than adults...well I know what happens when I eat to much meat and not enough greens and such.

Re: Poop
Does it matter if it is egg yolk or egg white? Also, Coffee is still scared of me, so a warm bath is pretty much out of the question.

Re: Poop
I don't think he would be constipated. Some foods will definitely result in runnier poop, but I wouldn't worry too much about feeding to get poop specifically. If you offer healthy meals the poop will come! I feed both egg yolk and whites, some seem to not care and some prefer yolk.
Cleaning everything will almost certainly result in poop and probably shedding too.
Nothing brings about a big, smelly poop like a perfectly clean enclosure!
