New to the forums and with a recently aquired BTS

Hi everybody, just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Joe and I recently bought a BTS. I went for a BTS as i knew they were the lizard for me when i first seen them, and upon reading up on them just confirmed it. I bought my skink around 3 weeks ago and hes settling in quite nicely, hes currently shedding and also eating well (although i have to mix his greens with meat, as he wont eat them alone) and hes still a little nervous, however he hand feeds great and calms after i get him out to handle him, although initally he might try to evade me sometimes when i go to get him out. Hes around 8-9 months old and have been told hes and Irian Jaya, and is definitely captive bread and is in a 4ft x 2ft x 2ft enclosure.. Im hoping to become good buddies with this guy and hes deffinitely going to get the attention he deserves.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody, i wish to learn alot from the community and hope i can apply it to the care of my skink. I've already read the caresheet and must say, it is excellent and very thorough, and one of the reassurances i had when i decided on getting my skink. I hope i can also contribute around here wherever i can and look forward to reading though the extensive topics on the boards
