You could easily tell from the first pic that it's an IJ

Thank you :D Silly question, but all other skinks i have seen are really shinny, but she isn't , could this be due to diet? i was told she mainly eats fruit and locust, i'm going to slowly change her diet to the 50/40/10 diet as described on this site she was getting feed evryday but after reading up it says every other. also what is a good weight for a 3 year old, IJ, X

Not everyone can tell easily, ML. Don't be rude.

As far as the shininess - I've noticed that too. A few of the skinks I have taken in seemed very dull in color, but in several sheds and about 6-8 months of a varied, healthy diet they got a shine to them as well. Weight varies on gender, species and individual skink - there is no ideal weight, just make sure you can't see hip bones or backbone. From the pics, your IJ seems to be a decent weight.

wow ML that was uncalled for.

IJ. :)

Pretty one too, i like that "V" stripe :) Also, how long have you had your bluey? it could be going into shed. They tend to get duller when getting ready to shed. And then BOOM they are done shedding and GOOOOORGEOUS <3's :ohyes:

I think it is a mix of sand and some bark, it's what she came with, i didn't want to freak her out by changing anything. I have some aspen bedding or play sand i can put her on, which would you suggest is best, i have read alot of conflicting thngs, sadly the aspen bedding i have is shredded not shaved.

NOT SAND whatever you do. I used to use aspen, but the darn stuff kept getting in their eyelids, so now i use EcoEarth (coco husk).

Agreed, sand is deadly.

Gorgeous IJ, but it looks like she might have some marks on her face. Could you get some close-up pics?
