Binky lost part of a rear toe this month, the vet said it was probably got strangled when she shed, they gave her a 7 day course of antibiotics.
She seemed ok all the way through it, and took her medicine really well. the vet gave us 7 viles of medics, and we just gave her one a day, with her favourite food, pumpkin and sweet potatoes, she also likes kiwifruit and pears and loves banana, and also likes Watties organic baby food. And sleeping on my chest in the lazyboy, and I get the odd lick under the chin

Re: binky lost a toe
It is always sad when they lose a toe, but really shouldn't require meds. It is very common. Some skinks seem much more prone to losing toes than others. I have never heard of toe loss leading to an infection though.
