assuming you have a bts above a year old, he is very much on the round side, imo. enough for it to be harmful if hes an adult. (if its a pregnant femlae however im not sure) a northern shouldnt really have much extra fat under the throat, i think, while its common in meruakes.
but wait till the others give their opinion about it, as i can only compare with the one i have (my skink is also a nothern, above a year old, and probably male)
Litchie, northern 1.0
Pomme (Pomelo), northern 1.0

Not sure if male or female. Although, even if female, I only have one BTS so there's no chance of it being pregnant. He's a bit older than a year if I remember my time-frame correctly. Don't know if this information helps.

Looks fairly chunky, nothing alarmingly unhealthy. But you can definitely limit the amount of food and feed smallish portions. I wouldn't feed anymore often than once a week. Females generally are chunkier than males, you can't really compare a male northern healthy weight to a female.

Yeh, she's chubby. Many, if not most captive bts are though. We tend to feed them much more than they require. If you reduce the amount you feed, she will most likely slim down in a few months. I feel that it is probably healthier to keep them a little leaner. Your skink looks very female to me.

I just realized this is more of a General Discussion topic, so I am moving it over to that forum.

Wish my guy was closer to looking like that. He seems skinny though he eats like a champ. Also she is really pretty. Love the light coloring.
