Hello everyone, been struggling to get Sigs to eat lately, I offer food every few days or once a week but he is so picky.

HOWEVER I had a look at the amazing food chart from here and figured I would get him some snails. (Zoo Med Can o'Snails)

They smelt awful but he didn't mess around, nommed those bad boys straight up! After that I put in his healthy meal ( a mix I pre-made and froze) and he seemed a lot more interest, like his appetite had woken up. Didn't eat much, just licked it quite enthusiastically but I'm so happy I've found something good for him which he loved. At least I know I can get something in him with his calcium and D3 powder on.

So I'm a happy skink momma.

Also, MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you, everyone on this forum has been a huge help to me and I think Sigs would like to say thank you also.

Merry Christmas to you as well, mine loves the canned snails! They do smell pretty awful :dead: but compared to the canned silkworms IMO they smell like roses! Indah did not eat any of those thank goodness so I dont have to buy them ever again.

the one time i tried canned snails, they devoured them. I was eyeballing them too...i wont lie. I love escargot <3's
i didnt eat them though, dont worry :P

Merry Christmas! Glad you figured out a hit, sometimes the smelliest, grossest foods get them the most excited. :lol:
